Your First Visit

The main goals of the initial exam are:

• To make sure it is medically safe to begin care.  
• For me to understand your condition.  Especially with Japanese style acupuncture, we want to understand if your body might still be pre-occupied with past healing projects like surgeries, old illnesses or injuries.
• To capture all the details of what the problem looks like now.  This will be our baseline that we use to see how far you have improved whenever we re-evaluate.
• To make a clinical treatment plan designed to deal with your health concern.
• To answer any questions you might have about expectations of care, self-care options and anything else you want to know.  I want you to feel satisfied that you are about to start a very reasonable and measured approach to dealing with your health concern.  Only then, with your permission, do we begin the work.
